The aims and objectives of the Association shall be:
a. To seek, uphold and promote high academic, spiritual and moral standards in our alma mater
b. To establish good relationship between the Students (Old & Current) and the School;
c. To create a spirit of unity amongst all members irrespective of their states of origin, tribe, race, sex, religion, status, educational qualification or political affiliation;
d. To foster the spirit of community consciousness and the interest of the members in National and International Affairs;
e. To conduct educational and other researches that are beneficial to the School;
f. To participate in the activities of the School and assist them whenever the need arises.
g. To do such other things that will help to achieve the stated objectives of the Association and the School;
h. To collaborate with the school for the overall development and growth of the School;
i. To assist in undertaking physical and structural development and upgrading of the School.

16. COMMITTEES

The Association shall have the following Committees:
 
a. Project Committee;
b. Educational Committee;
c. Intergovernmental Committee;
d. Ethics & Disciplinary Committee;
e. Social & Welfare Committee;
f. Environmental & Beautification Committee
g. Any Other Committee as may be deemed necessary by the Exco from time to time.


17. COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS OF COMMITTEES 

The composition of membership of Committees shall be as determined by the National President and Exco from time to time.
Each committee is at liberty to co-opt any individual or member(s) of other committee with relevant skills and contributions towards the achievement of the duties set out for them.
In order to pursue Agenda/Action Plan of the Association in a timely manner, Committees are to ensure the submission of their findings and recommendations within three (3) months of being constituted and given their terms of reference.
The functions and duties of each Committee shall be derived from the purpose as stated in the terms of reference and shall include the following: 

(a) PROJECT COMMITTEE

TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Project Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to take responsibility of all the projects of the Associations.

DUTIES:
•    Identification of project that will impact positively on the general development of the school.
•    Evaluation of the existing structures in the School.
•    Allocation of Structures for relevant uses.
•    Investigating areas of intervention (immediate or long term).
•    Carrying out feasibility of all the projects of the Association.
•    Monitoring the execution of all projects.
•    Ensuring all the projects are done at a reasonable cost and within stipulated period.

(b) EDUCATION COMMITTEE

TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Education Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to draw up programs towards restoring the school back to her former glory.

DUTIES:
•    Studying the current state of academic performances of students.
•    Examine the School curriculum and recommend actions where necessary.
•    Establishing area of impact and interventions.
•    Determine the adequacy of facilities such as Science, Computer and Home Economics Laboratories as well as the Library and Technical Workshop.
•    Collaborate with the School Authority in the area of standard performance appraisal for the Students, Academic and Non-Academic Staff.
•    Oversee the use of all Academic facilities in the School.
•    Proposing and organising academic based programs.
•    Reviewing of the current Manpower resources and their adequacy.
•    Recommending training and seminar programs for staff development
•    Providing Academic Support resources/materials.
•    Setting up of Academic Awards, Scholarships and reward system.
•    To carry out feasibility study on the viability and modalities of integrating a Boarding system into the school. 


(c) INTER-GOVERNMENTAL COMMITTEE

TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Inter-Governmental Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to serve as liaison between the Association and her external environment.

DUTIES:
•    Ensuring that the School benefits from all the programs and initiatives available in the community across private and public sectors particularly at all levels of Government.
•    Promoting relationships with various bodies of Government and Non-Government organisations at the Local, State and National levels.
•    Identifying people, institutions and organisations relevant to the course of the Association.
•    Maintaining close contact with officials in order to promote the course of the institution.
•    Exploring possible ways of pushing the Agenda of the School to the front burner in the state.
•    Attracting people of interest and influence to grace the various programs of the Association.
•    Carrying out all public relations activities on behalf of the Association.

(d) ETHICS & DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Ethics & Disciplinary Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to restore Values System, Moral Ethics and Discipline to the School community.

DUTIES:
•    To define Core Values to be instituted across the School structure.
•    Working with the School on issues pertaining to Discipline, tradition, rules and regulations.
•    Providing framework for the restoration of Discipline among students and staff members.
•    Liaising with the School authority in the establishment of Code of Conducts for the students and the entire staff cadre.

(e) SOCIAL & WELFARE COMMITTEE

TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Welfare and Social Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to oversee all social functions and see to the welfare all stakeholders.

DUTIES:
•    Organising the Re-union and other programs of the Association.
•    Seeing to the welfare of all members in a fair and equitable ways.
•    Create platforms to enhance socialisation of members.
•    Design Extra-Curriculum activities for both students and staff members.
•    Handle the continuous registration and mobilisation of all Old students to the Association platform.
•    Ensure proper mobilisation of all Old Students in all our programs.
•    Timely dissemination of relevant information to all stakeholders on behalf of the Association.

(f) ENVIRONMENTAL & BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE

TERMS OF REFERENCE
PURPOSE: The Environmental and Beautification Committee shall be established by National Executive of MMGS Old Students’ Association to ensure the restoration of the general ambience expected of an academic environment.

DUTIES:
•    Enhance the landscaping of the School by encouraging planting of trees and flowers.
•    Marinating existing sport facilities or constructing a new one if necessary.
•    Ensure proper charting of road network within the School as well as constant repairs and maintenance.
•    Providing recreational facilities for both the students and staff
