7. FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICERS
i. The President shall:
a. Be the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and shall preside over all National Conventions of the Association and the National Executive Committee meetings.
b. Coordinate the activities of the Association and authorize expenditure on behalf of the Association.
c. Be the official representative and leader of the Association in all functions unless otherwise delegated.
d. Convene meetings of the National Executive Council from time to time
e. Be a signatory of the Association’s accounts
f. Perform such other duties as may be considered necessary in the best interest of the Association and its members.
ii. The Vice President shall
a. Assist the President at all times;
b. Preside over meetings in the absence of the President;
c. Carry out any other functions as may be delegated by the President and/or the Association.
iii. The Secretary General shall:
a. Summon all National Executive Committee Meetings and Conventions at the instance of the President;
b. Record minutes of Conventions and similar meetings and circulate same to all members/Branches;
c. Manage all correspondences of the Association;
d. Compile a Report of the activities of the Association and report same at the Convention;
e. Be in charge of and undertake the duties of the Secretariat;
f. Be the custodian of all properties, records and documents of the Association;
g. Carry out any other functions as may be assigned or delegated by the President or the Convention;
h. Shall keep the Common Seal of the Association.
iv. The Assistant Secretary-General shall: 
a. Assist the Secretary-General to undertake the Secretary-General’s duties in his absence;
b. Record minutes of National Executive Committee Meetings and circulate same to all members;
c. Perform such other functions as may be assigned from time to time by the Secretary-General or the President in liaison with the Secretary-General.
v. The Financial Secretary shall: 
a. Keep proper records of monies collected and issue receipts for same;
b. Register all members and submit the list to the Secretary-General;
c. Submit when called upon to do so, all financial records to the Auditor or as may be directed by the President/Convention.
d. Present Financial Reports at Conventions;
e. Prepare and submit Budgets for the National body;
f. Be a signatory to the Association’s accounts; and
g. Carry out any other functions as may be assigned by the President/Convention.
vi. The Treasurer shall: 
a. Receive all monies from the Financial Secretary and deposit same with the Association’s Bankers within 24 working hours of receipt.
b. Withdraw money on behalf of the Association where any two (2) of the under-mentioned append their signatures on the “Bank Withdrawal Form” that is: the President, Financial Secretary or Treasurer;
c. Keep detailed and accurate records of the Association’s monies;
d. Keep the Association’s Stamp, Bank Passbooks, Cheques, Security Papers and Receipt Books;
e. Submit when called upon, all documents to the Auditor;
f. Be a signatory to the Association’s accounts; and
g. Perform such other functions as may be directed by the President;

vii. The Social Secretary shall: 
a. Coordinate all social activities of the Association;
b. Be the Chairman of the Social Committee;
c. Carry out other assignments as may be directed by the President.

viii. The Publicity Secretary shall: 
a. Be responsible for publicizing the activities of the Association;
b. Prepare press releases on the activities of the Association and send same to the press with the approval of the President/Exco;
c. Censor any articles for publication that are not in the interest of the Association
d. Perform any other duty as may be directed from time to time by the President..
ix. The Auditor shall: 
a. Be responsible for carrying out periodic audit checks of the financial and other transactions of the Association;
b. Prepare written report of his findings in respect of each audit and also report on the truth and fairness of the financial records of the Association to members at the Convention.
c. Carry out other assignments as may be directed by the President or by members at a Convention or General Meeting. 
x. Ex-Officio members are former Presidents and Secretaries and shall have no specific duty assigned to them but shall participate actively in the joint decisions and operations of the National Executive Council.
Notwithstanding the above provision, in the event of death, illness, disability or inability of any National officer to perform his duty effectively, the National Executive Council may appoint any ex-officio member to such an office until such a time that the office is filled.

8. BRANCH OFFICERS

There may be established for all Branches the following officers: 
a. Chairman
b. Secretary
c. Assistant Secretary
d. Publicity Secretary
e. Financial Secretary
f. Treasurer
g. Social Secretary
j. Ex-Officio members to include immediate past Chairmen and Secretaries
