About Us
Manuwa Memorial Grammar School, Iju-Odo Old Students Association is the official alumni body of all old students who attended or finished from MMGS. From the early 1950s, there were efforts at pulling the alumni of MMGS Iju-Odo across sets together through some informal convening but there was no traction gained towards the formal organisation of the Association reputation and resources to the cause of the formal registration of Manuwa Memorial Grammar School. And so today, we stand as one, united by the vision of the founding members of the MMGS; Realising this vision was helped by the fact that the school was to clock 70 years in February 2023. With a successful celebration of the 70th anniversary in IJU-ODO in 2023, there has been no stopping and the following years have been years of mobilising alumnae, galvanising interest and fostering confidence in the association. In between, many class-sets have organised themselves and this has facilitated building a more inclusive and stronger general association.
Membership
All old students of the School irrespective of their geographical location are automatically members of the Association. Although membership is individually-based, the Association leverages the Class sets for more effective functioning. The annual membership dues is payable by sets.
Governance
The Association is run by an elected Executive Committee, which is accountable to the members. Members participate fully in the affairs.
